STEAMCMD Auto Update (no steam.inf)

I'm looking at adding ArmA 3 to the panel, but seeing as I use STEAMCMD for this server I would like to auto run steamcmd to check for updates everytime before the server starts, given its an alpha with lots of updates this would be extremely useful.

I actually use STEAMCMD for RO2, Rising Storm and ArmA 3 but have searched the entire hard drive, and do not have ANY steam.inf files, so I guess using the autoupdate is not an option.

My second thought was to add STEAMCMD as a command to be run before server start, but i notice this option says it only waits one second before starting the server. Obviously we would need anything up to 2 minutes to perform an update, sometimes more.

Any thoughts on this, or should I just add steamcmd to the update page and activate it manually for now?

Valve's games only seem to ship with a steam.inf.

Your best bet is to set it up with the update tool, and just use the update tool manually.

Uisng the update panel seems to work, not sure about this message at the finish though?

Also just noticed the page reads my steamcmd script, so all users can see the steam account and password used, is there a way to prevent that?

Are you using a script? Call steamcmd directly.

If it doesn't work. Try finding a patched mod, copy and paste on https://naremo.com (steam workshop downloader).
