Few questions

Hey there, really liking the look of this game panel.

I currently run a dedicated box for our clan and community, however when one of our Counter-Strike Source servers crash it can sometimes cause lag across the whole box, more a less when a server crashes it maxes out the CPU.

I was wondering, with this panel, will it restart the server that has crashed so it doesn't cause any problems across the box?

Also, can I assign different servers to each core, say one server to core 2, the other to core 4...

Hey Hazz,

If you enable monitoring and advanced monitoring on the gameserver(s), if the the server doesn't answer server query status responses, it will restart the offending game server. You can also tell the panel what core(s) you want the servers to run on and their priority. So basically the answer is yes to all of your questions .

Just another question.....

When it says "Monitor game servers CPU usage and stop the server if goes over it's allowed utilization".

Does that mean it literally stops/closes down the server? Or just stop it using more than a certain amount of CPU? Also is this per core or overall on the CPU?

It stops the gameserver. The value returned is overall / # of cpus

so 25% would = 100% of a single core on a quad core pc.

But, can this be used on a seperate webserver to our dedicated box? If so, how do you go about setting this up...

You'll have to use the manual install package....
You'll have to use a MySQL database
setup a monitor on the dedicated box with remote mode turned on
Create a server defintion in the panel's admin interface
Add a new server, and tell the panel that it's server location is the remote server (server defintion you just setup)

Should aslong as your host is windows based and offer asp.net.

If they offer mono, you should be ok; but most don't
