A default setting used for (atleast for windows) a new MySQL install may cause the panel some issues. Search for a my.ini or my.cnf file. In the found files look for a 'sql-modes=' setting. If found delete the whole line. Restart the service and you should be good to go.

If you get an error similar to 'Field 'xxxxx' doesn't have a default value' error--you'll need to do this fix.
