FTP Stuck on "Reading Remote Directoy"

Hi Masher,

We installed using EzUGCC on Windows Server 2016. We have a license installed and activated.

I am trying to connect to the FTP using winscp and my client is getting stuck on "Reading Remote Directory".

I have the file tool turned on and I have "%Root%" as my root path. We are not using any remote servers. All game servers are on the same box as UGCC.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
DHack

I'd imagine it's firewall related. If you're using passive mode in the ftp client, you'll need to set a range of ports in the ugccmon.cfg to allow for passive transfers and open those in the firewall.

Does it work fine if you ftp in from the same computer that is running the monitor?

This looks promising. We can connect to FTP on the local machine just fine.

We found two config files in the EzUGCC folder and changed the range from 2000-2005 and opened the ports on the TCP firewall.

After rebooting the server we still have the same problem. Are we modifying the correct CFG file?

No you need to edit the one in system32

Yep. We found that right before your reply. By opening the EzUGCC.exe

All is working now. THANK YOU!

Is there a set of ports you would recommend or a minimum amount?

As many as you can spare. Ultimately depends on load.
