Getting following error when ran with mono

Post by WhiteKitty »

Hello community,

I tried running SourceRSC recently(worked fine before), and now it gives me following error:

Code: Select all

mono SourceRSC.exe
WARNING: The runtime version supported by this application is unavailable.
Using default runtime: v4.0.30319
Unhandled Error: /usr/bin/example-linux.ini does not exist

I updated mono(even reinstalled it fully), ran full package updates and so on, moved files to a new dir etc, it thinks the dir is /usr/bin/, but its /servers/gmod/fastdl/. as I said, it worked fine before, I even tried setting /ini:; but the same error occours. it doesn't even check for updates from Brainless Tech, should I replace all files with a fresh download(except the .ini)?

-- Edit --

Replacing all files with a fresh download didnt work either.

What is your mono version?

mono -V should tell you.

Try running the command with mono4 instead of mono. I.e. mono4 sourcersc.exe

Getting this error:

Code: Select all

mono4 SourceRSC.exe
No command 'mono4' found, did you mean:
Command 'mono' from package 'mono-runtime' (main)
Command 'monop' from package 'mono-devel' (main)
Command 'monop' from package 'bsdgames' (universe)
mono4: command not found

Sorry, I must of forgotten to click submit on my last post. It appears there's a bug in mono causing this. I'm getting the same behavior with mono 4. I'll see what I can do.

Try this, working for me under mono 4.2.2, replace existing binaries with ones in the archive.

https://remote.brainless.us/dls/sourcersc-mono4.zip

Let me know if it works for you.
