IE8 starts slowly and opening new tabs is slow

I was having this problem all of a sudden with IE8. I did alot of searching, tried a lot of things and Spybot Search & Destroy's immunizations is what was causing the problem for me. Which makes sense as i did install it a few days ago and just now noticed IE's slowness. If Internet Explorer is opening slowly and opening new tabs is painfully slow, start spybot, click the Immunize shield icon on the left, and then click the Undo button on the toolbar. After doing this, IE8 was fast and snappy to load and open new tabs.
